Cantina Del Morellino

The cooperative winery of Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano was founded in 1972, thanks to the desire of some producers of Scansano  to produce wine together. Since then the group has grown a lot, choosing over time to focus more and more on quality. This has made it necessary to make large investments and great efforts in the vineyard. Not everyone chose to stay, but those who did were particularly motivated.

A few decades later, the sacrifices of those members are rewarded. Benedetto Grechi  has been leading the winery as President for over thirty years . This continuity has allowed us to work consistently throughout this time. Benedetto is supported by two vice-presidents, Paolo Gobbi and Riccardo Fusini . The director of the winery is Sergio Bucci . Under his direction, the winery is increasingly strengthening its presence not only in the large-scale retail channel but also in the restaurant and wine shop channel, and abroad (to find out more about the wines dedicated to these channels, visit the Vignaioli di Scansano website ).

Today our winery is composed of about 170 members for a total of vineyards that is around 700 hectares. All the members follow, during the year, a careful regulation aimed at reaching the harvest with grapes of optimal quality to guarantee our consumers an excellent quality-price ratio.

In recent years, in addition to the quality certifications that our wines already enjoyed, we have also begun to commit ourselves to environmental sustainability, trying to minimize the impact of our production, for the benefit of the territory and also of the consumers who will drink our wines.
